The history of Street Soccer México started 6 years ago before the official announcement of becoming a non-profit organization. The continuing interest to learn more about this social project led to the official participation of México in the 2006 Homeless World Cup, held in South Africa. México was very successful in this tournament, but more importantly, the players experienced a positive social change in their lives from participation in this event.
In 2007, México formed a National Team for its second year with the intent of participating in Copenhagen, Denmark. This was also the first year they held a state tournament in Veracruz, opening the doors for many other states to follow this lead. Now we have tournaments in each state of Mexico,
We are working with differents kinds of the Mexican Population like, Alcoholics, homeless, Drug users, Marginalized and on extreme poverty
