Talia Kaufman, M.Ed. is Senior Programmes Manager at sportanddev. She oversees project management and communications and contributes to fundraising and partnerships, strategy and governance. She has extensive experience in sport for development, including a leadership role at a large international NGO, as well as expertise in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights education and youth participation. Talia has worked on projects with the Olympic Refuge Foundation to advocate for the support and inclusion of displaced young people in and through sports programmes.
Her experience includes developing training and play-based life skills curricula with teams in multiple countries, including Afghanistan, Cambodia, Canada, Malawi, Mozambique, Pakistan and South Africa. A lifelong skateboarder from Calgary, Canada, Talia promotes safe access to sport and recreation in public spaces through her volunteer work with the Peniche Skatepark Association in Portugal, where she has been living since 2020.
